Hiya

My DS is 20 months old on Friday and was feeding only once a day at night, before bed, from about 16mo. Now when I ask him before bed he shakes his head and says 'noooo' However, he did this a few weeks ago and then started again but this time it's gone on for longer. So I think I will stop producing milk anytime now(how long?)
What if he changes his mind next week and it's too late? Is that likely to happen? Or should I just give in gracefully and accept our bf relationship is over?

I am really sad!

My DS started refusing my milk at 9 months, how ever hard I tried he just refused it and any other milk either, I finally managed to get him on milk, but only by refusing to let him fill up on other liquids.

I was gutted too, I was hoping to feed up to a year at the very least.

I sometimes wonder if it was better he took himself off though, rather than be forced off...

Anyone else any words of wisdom?

I stopped bf when ds was 14 months but I still had milk for a year after that (to some degree). If you just wait and see I don't think there'll be a problem with him starting again if he wants to.

Your milk supply will have lowered but it'll come back up again after only a week or two if you need it to (ime).
