What happens if you're "chucked out" for bf in public?

I mean, do they actually forcibly evict you? How can they actually make you leave without you subsequently suing them for assault?

They'd have a job with me. I'd phone the police. Threatened to do that once in a restaurant where I was complaining about the bill... I'm quite nice really - just have a strong awareness of my rights and don't like it when people try to strongarm me

TBH I think I'd burst into tears and shame them- 'I'm only trying to feed my baby'

They have to allow you to feed in pulic now

Cheeky buggers if they ask you to leave I would refuse and also complain to their h/o

actually they can ask you to move. I have heard of this ahppenning although it has never happenned to me. IT is currently not illegal to ask a bf mum to stop or move to a feeding room etc.

Not sure what i would do tbh...probably kick up a right stink and scene and write to my MP and launch a smear campaign!!

There is a campaign for this to be a legal right in england (as it is in scotland already!)

Yes, in England it's not illegal to ask a bf mum to stop or move but how can they make you without effectively assulting you? Can they actualyl force you to move if you refused?

Personally I think I would just have burst into tears but I don't think I would have moved until I had finished feeding.

Only in Scotland, jambo.

In the rest of the UK, a shop or restaurant manager or whoever would be legally allowed to force you leave if they didn't want you bf-ing on their premises. Management reserves the right and all that. So yes, technically they could forcibly evict you, call the police etc etc. Unlikely but theoretically possible under the current laws (or lack of 'em).

It terrible that still some people would ask a b/f mum to leave the premises it infuriates me at times.

Years ago my friends sister was b/f her baby in asda cafe in our centre and a woman went of on 1 staying she should goto the toilet to feed the baby, friends sisters partner was furious asking if she would eat her lunch in the toilet, she said no, he then replied dont expect my son to be fed there then
