What's the legal position on this?

At HV clinic today the HVs had a massive stock of leaflets they were offering out about teething. SMA emblazoned all over it. Now the info was sound and it didn't really mention feeding apart from the usual "use a cup, don't prop-feed" stuff. However the SMA logo/helplines etc were incredibly in your face and in their list of helplines they didn't include any bfing ones. Now the HVs were obviously giving these out to mums of very small babies as well as those over six months. Can someone clarify for me if this is "OK"?

It's only infant formula they aren't allowed to advertise so no they aren't doing anything 'wrong' legally.

it isn't breaking the law, although i suspect it may violate parts of the code.

however, it is def worth complaining about. there are nhs leaflets on all these type of things that they could be handing out.

by using sma ones they are still promoting a brand.
our la leche leader complained at several of our local surgeries and got them removed
