My 2nd dd2 is only 5 days old, breast feeding going ok although I don't enjoy it but I guess not a lot of people do in this early stage when breasts are engorged and nipples are sore. I am sure I will be going on to formula at some point, I only managed 5 weeks breast feeding with dds1. When is a good time to start and how? ideally I would like to give half formula half breast. Can anyone recommend how to go about doing this?

Hello - at 4 months old, we are doing BFing in the day and FF at night if I haven't had time/been able to express. This started about a month ago, but baby has been used to getting bottles of EBF since birth - so we haven't had any issues with bottle feeding as she's used to it now.

Can you wait until six weeks before moving on to combination feeding? I'm no expert, but I think that's when boob milk 'regulates' itself.

I just want to add - I don't enjoy BFing either.
