my baby is 15 weeks old now and we have never had any problems feeding , she had oral thrush which was treated , but treatment for me was hard to come by , I was not happy applying canestan cream to my nipples as she still feed's on demand and i was forever washing it off
I have been back to the docs a few times and was advised to buy kamosile (sp?) my nipples are very sore and cracked and latching on is now painful , my breast feeding group is finished until after new year , does anyone have any tips or advise please ??

You should have been given miconazole cream for your nipples and fluconazole oral tablets for internal breast thrush. Have a look at the thrush leaflet on the bfn website.

Search the threads for thrush there's loads of good advice.

Love your name theboob!

I had this with my DS and now have it with my 2 week old DD. I found vinager and water the best for my nipples above all the creams I was given.

picante how will I know if it's internal?
