Is there any breastfeeding counsellors out there?

Hi, not sure I have posted in the right place and not sure where to post!

I am interested in becoming a breastfeeding counsellor and would like to know how to further persue this.

I have a qualification in childcare (not that it will prob help!) and bf 2 children.

Various organisations can provide training to become a BF counsellor. The main ones that spring to mind are the NCT, La Leche League, Association of Breastfeeding Mothers, and Breastfeeding Network.

Some have a 'peer supporter' or 'mother supporter' role after brief training, then you can go on to further training if you want to.hth
