Apologies for a completely shameless plug, but my friend Kate Evans has written a beautiful book about breastfeeding called: The Food of Love - your formula for successful breastfeeding.

Having breastfed three children successfully myself, I can honestly say I'm recommending it for its informative, funny and supportive content, not just because she's me mate.

The cartoons are brilliant too.

I'm not her mate...but I second this, its a fab book - as well as being funny and touching, its actually really useful and helped me loads in my early days of BFing (still going strong).

I bought this book a few weeks ago and love it. I just spotted it whilst browsing for another book.

The breastfeeding info is great & the book is very funny. It's a bit more than breastfeeding advice, I like all the stuff about taking care of a new mum & sleep etc. I wish I'd read it before dd was born. I'm planning to buy it for my friend who is expecting her first next year.

I found this book by sheer good luck when going to Borders to swap a copy of Clare Byam-Cook It was my constant ompanion during the night feeds (along with What Mothers Do) and is now with my second friend with a new baby - both have also absolutely loved it as well. Hurrah for Kate! I love the little fuzzy glow round the cartoon babies
