BF baby allergic to formula?

My 17 wk old baby is BF - a fortnight ago we gave her a bottle of Aptimil so I could get some sleep and an hour after she took it she vomited it everywhere. Yesterday we gave her SMA - she drank 200ml but 2 hrs afterwards vomited the whole lot up - she really cleared her tummy out. She's not usually a sicky baby at all.

The HV thinks this could be an allergy to milk. I want to be able to move her onto formula for when I go back to work and am worrying about it.

Does anyone have any similar experiences or advice?

you need to get her checked properly for allergy before you try anything else. there are certain formulas esp. for milk allergy babies eg goat's milk.

are you sure it wasn't the teat was too fast and she got a big bubble or something?

good luck
