Yet I just expressed a load of milk, plopped it in a bottle and she downed it in one. She has only ever had breastmilk, mostly straight from the udder (has maybe had less than 10 bottles of EBM in her 16 week life). It's doing my head in. Anybody would think I was poisoning her. Breastfeeding going fine until about ten days ago, she has no discernible cold or nose blockage, and feeds fine lying down. She's my 4th baby and with 5 years of successful breastfeeding under the belt, I'm trying not to take it too personally, but what the deuce can the matter be?

By god that's it. The only difference from the previous 3 children is that none of them was sleeping through the night at 4 months in any case, whereas this one was. sob Goodbye to my nights... It now wakes up 2x a night.

The other thing, is your let-down rather fast? DD has occasional periods of 3-7 days where she sucks a couple of times then screams, etc. This tends to be either when she hasn't fed from one side for a while so it's pretty full, or when her feeds are changing in frequency/amount. At the moment I tend to feel full just before her feeds, so I guess she's taking more per feed at the moment. However, my letdown has become more powerful as a result and she's struggling to cope. I'll give it a few days and it'll be fine!
