ds is 3 days old. I have rubbish nipples (both flat but the right comes out much easier and ds prefers this one and has chewed
it off already).

anyway he was formula fed overnight, bf counsellor came out this morning and told me to express 3 hrly today, which ive done, into bottle attached to pump, have been taking bottle out of fridge each time to get back to room temp then expressing more into it through the sterilised pump which she told me would be fine.

Now I have to express again at 10pm, have 100mls of ebm in fridge.

Should I use the ebm now and put it into 2 separate bottles?
Overnite can i just sterilse the pump and bottle once and keep it by the bed to juse at 1am/4am/7am?
Can i leave that ebm next to bed overnight and give at morning feed?

TIA

yes, you can just sterilise and keep by the bed to add to through the night.
bm can be left at room temp for 8 hours i think, and yes, just give it for morning feed

did the BF counsellor give you advice on improving latch and getting baby to feed direct thoughj? cos i would have thought that was by far the most important thing

not entirely sure and have missed something about two bottles (do you mean 2 x 50ml feeds?).

but i should think starting a new bottle / pump would make sense overnight.

i do know that bm will keep pretty well, is the room hot?

and sorry re nipple, i've been there. hindsight directs me to say have you tried breast crawl / biological nuturing? wish i had.
