swollen painful nipple + breastfeeding

One of my nipples is about twice the size of the other, and is very painful when BF.
I think DS bit my nipple last week and this has caused a small wound which has become slightly infected, this is what it looks like anyway.

Does anybody know how long I can stop BF on that side before I will lose my supply/and/or what I can do to help heal it.

DS is 11 mo now, so I could give BF up, I dont want to though !

I would get a doctor to look at your wound, an infection there is worth investigating.

Can you express (hand express) to keep up your supply while you're in pain?

Can you express? I imagine if you stopped feeding suddenly the engorgement plus the original infection would be excrutiating.

If you have to have antibiotics make sure you take a probiotic to avoid getting thrush.

Thanks for your help. I feel upset about it as I'm worried I'll lose my supply, and that will be the end of BF

Hand expressing (everything!) is really painful, will just have to try and do it once a day

You need to see a doctor. You should wash the wound twice a day with antiseptic wash like savlon or salt water then cover in a good layer of sudocrem and a plaster. I would stop feeding from it as it may make the infection worse. If you lose your supply in that one could you feed from the other only? The milk might come back with stimulation maybe...
