Cold Water Sterilizing, Micro Bags, Dishwasher??

Hi, First time mom here. We are traveling to the States for Christmas with our 4mo DD, will be gone a month and will be flying/driving to three different states whilst there. I am doing 50%/50% on BF & formula feeding. (Long story - I would do 100% BF but DD is cows milk intolerant so need special hypoallergenic formula to help get her weight back up, etc. etc.)

Anyway! I obviously can't bring my Avent Sterilizer so wondering what to do?

In 3 places we will be with family so will have access to dishwasher/microwave.

In 4th place, we will be in hotel and will NOT have either of these.

How do I handle this? / How would you sterilize your bottles?

Thank you!

travel steam steriliser?

cold water steriliser bags?

MsWilson · 24/11/2009 12:02

do you think the travel steam system is battery or plug in? (meaning would I have to bring my converter with me?)

have you ever used the cold water bags? wondering how well they work?

Tx

just scrub well to remove crusty bits, put in dishwasher and air dry, they will be fine

cold water and milton in hotel

apart from anything else no-one in the US uses a sterliser and they will think you are nuts

seriously? (re: the non-sterilizing part) why have I been wasting time doing it for the past few months then? ugh..is it because we have more lime scale in our water?

nope, we're just more paranoid (and don't have as many dishwashers)

take some washing up liquid with you and some kitchen towels
