You can take Ibuprofen (Nurofen)instead of gel, and doctor could actually prescribe you voltarol which might be better. Have you tried a hot water bottle? What is the cause of the pain?

treacletart · 04/11/2009 21:28

Poor you. You can take ibuprofen tablets when you're breastfeeding now. And you can take ibuprofen alongside paracetemol too, but you will have to be careful if you're using ibuprofen gel at the same time. Would hot water bottle on lower back help?
