Does anyone know how long Gaviscon Infant stays in a babies system?

We were given this for ds2 for possible reflux but i wasn't overly convinced that it made any difference to him so after 2/3wks i took him off it. Now, after just over a week, i've realised that he did seem better on the gaviscon because he is now back to how he was before the it, ie. crying during and after feeds, going rigid/arching back after a feed, not sleeping for very long at a time

Would it take a full week to get out of his system? And should i start him back on it?

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works - have you investigated the possibility of wind? It's just that the symptoms you describe - arching his back, going rigid, crying during and after feeds, not sleeping well..etc Very reminiscent of windy babies

my DS had exactly the same symptoms and in his case it was reflux.
no advice on infant gaviscon though, sorry.
