Feeding pillow. widgey, mothercare or argos own brand???

I bought the mothercare bolster which is a long straight pillow not the L-shaped one here - but if they are made of similar materials then although comfortable enough, the covering of the actual pillow (as opposed to the slip on cover) is that really horrible papery fabric (like disposable boiler suits) and it very quickly gets really bobbly and all the fluff on the surface rolls up into big blobby sausages. So wouldn't recommend it if shaped pillow is made of same fabric. Also, pillow cover only has tiny overlap and no fixings, so blobby pillow escapes from cover too easily.

I have read good reviews about the widgey but don't want to buy the named brand just because it's a branded one if a bog standard one will do iykwim.

I had a widgey pillow and loved it. It was great for getting comfy when pg, fine for feeding with and good for propping up DD when learning to sit up.

No experience but I'd go for the Argos one on the strength of those reviews. Also it looks nice in the picture (though Argos pictures can be misleading...)

I had a mybrestfriend pillow which are supposed to be brilliant but hated it and always fed DD using a noral sofa cushion which was much better.

Mrs B I had one of those with ds and it was never high enough. Was too flat. I use it now to lean on, while I drink my tea in bed in the morning though

Ghouls I did that with ds (after I ditched the v pillow) and always found they moved about etc.

I think I maybe drag dh to mothercare tommorow and feel the pillows in store. I could always ask the Argos people to bring one out for me to give it the 'firm' test too....

Really mel? When I said sofa cushion I meant, like a scatter cushion? Not a part of the sofa, if that makes any sense...

hmm - to be fair I never needed anyhting to rest dd on while I fed her and did mostly use it for sitting up in bed...

The widgey is very firm and still! It sort of grips onto your body more than other cushions, so it stays still.

I use a doomoo cushion for breastfeeding, which I love, and also use a widgy for propping baby up. I also use the widgy for breastfeeding sometimes, when I am in the sitting room, where I keep it, and it works fine, I just prefer the squidginess of the doomoo, which is very comfy for us both.

I have the argos one, soft and fleecy on one side and cotton on the other which I liked, used cotton side on hot days or if DS had a temperature. Worked really well for us, it is alot softer than others I have seen/borrowed at friends houses, but I got on better with the squidginess!

thrupennybits.co.uk/home I bought one of these to use with DD2, although no longer BF'ing it is great as a support for bottle feeding as well. It is the best cushion I have ever used for BF'ing.

I would highly recommmend the widgey. Was given one as a present while pg, still using it to feed DD, now 18 months. Nice and firm, gets them up at a good height so your back remains straight. DD now asks for Widgey when she wants a feed.

avoid the widgey; waste of 25 quid. put ds on it and he was nearly level with my chin. it is too firm and high. ended up using normal pillow or cushion from the sofa. i would have bought the argos one but had already spent too much on widgey......now using it to prop ds up against.

I bought the widgey!

I felt the mothercare one in store but it seemed so squidgy and I thought the baby would be too low down. I wanted a feeding pillow that wouldn't need any extra pillows underneath it to make it higher. I just hope the widgey isn't too high!
