Christina how are you getting on with the nappies.
I recently had this problem with my lo, went on for about 2 weeks.
Asked advice, but nobody could really help.
I tried to feed a couple of feeds on one side and tried to ensure that the baby reached the hind milk. Burped baby frequently. Tried feeding the baby upright on the chest to help the fast flow of milk.
It didn't do anything for a number of days. Baby was gaining weight. HV no advice.
One evening I decided to express one breast completely. I expressed a few hours after baby was in bed. Next feed in the early hours I fed on the other breast. If the baby hadn't enough from that breast fed again when lo woke up in the morning. I continued with this for a couple of days and noticed in the early nappies a sudden change of colour.
Now I feed one breast per feed unless lo feeds a long time and then I feed on the other side. Nappies have changed back from green to yellow. No idea why really. Noticed that sometimes lo does gag on breast from fast flow of milk, I tend to pull off and let the flow stop and put baby back on and wind the babies lot. I have found that I haven't had a problem since. Hope this might help ??
