My DS 25months was playing in the garden this afternoon and stung his leg on a stinging nettle. I gave him a cuddle and rubbed his leg and asked if I should kiss it better.. He replied 'No,give it boobie' and insisted on lifting the sore bit onto my breasts.. was very cute.

Did you actually put any milk on it? My brother got stung by a wasp when he was about 3 months old and my stepmum expressed milk on it and the swelling went down straight away!

Yes I did.. I remembered it clearing up his sticky eyes as a newborn.. seemed to do the trick and he was over the moon!!

My ds made the mistake once of sniffing the onions that I had just chopped in the food processor.

I put breastmilk in his eyes and the stinging disappeared. He thought it was really funny.
