I have a six week old baby who i am breastfeeding. everywhere i read and everyone i talk to says breastfed babys hardly ever poo and then it's more like a wet fart. my baby poos about eight times a day. i don't think i eat that much fibre, so why all the poo?

Don't worry at all, my 6 week old goes about 6 times a day.
Anything from once every couple of days to 12 times a day is fine.
The wet fart thing is said alot because they aren't actually firm stools like adults produce but that is still a bowel movement and it's totally fine to be going that much, don't worry at all.
Just wait till your baby is weaned and they start smelling like real poo ewwww

No-one told my baby that breastfed babies hardly ever poo, she pooed at least 6 or 7 times a day for the first few months. Don't worry about it, sounds quite normal!

BF babies poo a LOT.... If it comes in , it comes out... it's a sign that your baby is well fed

Normal!
BTW, fibre in your diet won't come out in breastmilk!

Wet fart - I wish, it's more like a nuclear explosion of bright yellow sludge! At least it didn't pong too much until I introduced the odd formula bottle.....now it's explosive AND smelly, hurrah.

Don't worry it is all completely normal. I well remember ds1 pooed every single nappy for weeks and weeks and he was b/f.
