What sort of multivitamin is advisable - advice sought

I would like to take a multivitamin to help avoid the horrendous hair shedding that typically occurs with me around 4-5 months after birth. Are they all suitable to take when breastfeeding eg would those specially formulated for healthy hair and nails be alright or would it be better and as effective to take Pregnacare? Many thanks for any replies.

I take Sanatogen pro-natal, its the one in the pink packaging. Not sure about other vits, I know you need to be careful about taking too much of some, vit A is one you don't want too much of I think.

But isn't the hair shedding hormonal? Not much you can do about that.

I think like TPL said, it's hormonal and none of the multivits will actually do anything to help....I'm creating a new carpet at home at the moment with mine

My hairdresser said it's completely normal, and it's actually to do with your hair not falling out as much as it normally does when you're pregnant, so after the birth it looks like twice as much is falling out when it's actually just going back to how it was before.

Thanks for replying. I'll take something for breastfeeding then I think to ensure I don't OD on anything I shouldn't. I know it is a case of my hair volume adjusting itself, but I am keen to do what I can as my hair falls out in great clumps near my hairline making me look like I am balding (really attractive).
