moving to formula - how to get milk to dry up

well BF just isn't working so have decided to get DS on to formula. we've been giving 1-2 bottles a day which are working well.

anyhow my boobs are SO full and SO sore and SO SO leaky - all day even though we're only really giving him a bottle in the evening - or maybe one in the afternoon.

how do i get my milk supply to drop off. i'd ideally want to do it gradually.

thanks!!

I found breast shields quite useful, they are sort of cup things that you wear inside your bra (only when you are in the house because they are ridiculously big) and they put a little bit of pressure on your boobs which causes you to leak a bit & the milk is caught inside the cup. This stops you getting uncomfortably full without having to feed or express and further stimulate milk production. Hope that makes some sense.
