Should probably be in sleep but too tired...

I have no idea what's up with my DS (7.5mo). Over the past few days, he started refusing the breast in the evenings (I usually keep him downstairs to nap throughout the evening until I go to bed) - he would also fight sleep meaning he'd be tired and grouchy during the evenings. DP suggested I put him to bed upstairs at 7 or 8, so I tried this, but now the problem has moved to the early hours of the morning! He will wake up and scream and refuse the breast and I don't know what's wrong It happens 2-4 times a night. The only thing I can think of is wind - is there anything I can do to reduce this? It's never been a problem before. It could be teething but I'm not sure as the other night I took him downstairs with me (it was dark) to get the teething powders and when I got him back upstairs and laid him in his cot to give him the medicine and he went straight to sleep before I could even get one out of the box(!)

It does sound like teething, my dd just got her first tooth and she wouldn't eat much in the few days before it came through, I guess it was too painful.

Is he burping a lot when you wind him, is that why you think it's wind?

I was thinking it might be wind because it went away after I walked down the stairs with him. Last night I stood up with him and he did a little burp, which seemed to help, but no big ones.

He has got 2 teeth already and I don't know, teething just seemed different.
