Is there an 11 week growth spurt? Or is DS2 simply a guzzler??

Hi,

DS2 is necking 8oz of formula 5 times a day. That's not counting the odd bits of formula when he's unsettled etc - I'm demand feeding and usually go with his appetite. He's not huge as he's following 50th centile line, but has just started sleeping through 6/7 hours per night.

Have I imagined it or is there an 11 week growth spurt?

I have tried to increase the frequency of day time feeds so that he's not getting so much liquid at once, and to stop him getting ravenously hungry. Mixed success...!

Do I need to be concerned? Should I just ride it out.... or look for bigger bottles?!!

They have growth spurts at different times, IME. Ride it out.

Thanks for reassurance. Had LO weighed today and he'd put on 1lb. I'm not that surprised!

HV confirmed that this is classic growth spurt time, and isn't worried about amounts in context of how he has been developing. And that it will settle down.
