4 month growth spurt - what to expect?

DD (16 and a bit weeks) has been feeding a lot today, been generally grumpy and sleeping a lot so I've had a bit of time to do some googling. There seems to be a lot about the 4 month growth spurt being the worst.

Does this sound like the start of it? What makes it worse than the others?

COuld it be teething though? That usually makes them grumpy, feedy and sleepy...

Oh, and could you do me some links... ds is 15 weeks

Assuming it is the 4 month growth spurt...

I think the reason it seemed so awful is that you aren't in that 'newborn' phase any longer. You expect to be able to get things done during the day and so it comes as a huge shock when you then find yourself tied to the sofa for 48 hours!
Just resign yourself to it and feed lots. The more you feed the sooner it will be over! Just hope I remember to heed my own advice next time round

Ok they're blogs & forums but this is what I have found:

This

the others are on other forums so I don't think I should link those. Lots of threads called things like "4 month growth spurt hell" etc.

Oh do you think it might be teething? I'll have to go google that now....

Thanks Alibaba, that makes sense. I still don't seem to get much done in the day so perhaps I won't feel it as much!

Thanks Starlight, I spotted the 4-5 month sleep club a while ago and had a feeling that I'd be joining. DD is 16 weeks but not officially 4 months until next Tuesday....You're not a pedantic bunch are you?
