Breast Feeding on Galaxy FM this morning

I don't usually listen to Galaxy but my dd does and this morning we were listening whilst on the school run. They were having a debate on breast feeding in public (I think it was a response to the lady in the swimming baths story but was not limited to that).

Anyway, I was really impressed, the show is aimed at younger people and it was very very funny but so positive of breast feeding and breast feeding in public. It was not what I expected to be hearing TBH!

I just thought it was really good to hear a young persons show being so vocal about the rights of a woman to bf and of a baby to be bf regardless of where they are without inteference and put across in such a way that it did not sound like it was all a bit weird (which I have heard before even in pro bf debate).

Oh and the person who text in to say that BF in public was just women showing off got a bit of a dressing down

Yes it was jojo was quite vocal about her experience

Maybe it is not that impressive then but I thought it was great!

was it the yorkshire one? jojo breastfed her baby rudy so she does have a sense of perspective.

i know what you mean..it's normally more about drinking and exgirlfriends and so on..different now jojo's a mum. a good thing!

I just love the fact that my dd (and her peers) will have been listening and laughing about the subject, laughing along with the presenters that anyone could be so silly as to object to breastfeeding in public

My dd has had a positve bf role model in me but a lot of kids haven't so it is really refreshing that one of their day to day role models has taken up that particular torch!
