Bottle feeding - baby eating very little

Hi - My 5 month old is being purely bottle fed - aptamil. In the last week she has dropped the amount she is having. She is having considerably less than she should for her age/weight. She is a small baby anyway and at last weigh in a week ago her weight was fine. However she has only started having less milk in the last week. I am concerned and was wondering if it's possible for babies to get bored with milk? Also wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and started solids and did this help?

have you tried a faster teat? How much is she having and how many feeds? She could also just have had a growth spurt and her feeding is calming back down again. I dont think a decrease in milk intake is a good reason to start solids as you then run the risk of the milk intake dropping further. Is she still peeing/pooing/gaining weight (even just a little) and seeming content between most feeds? If so, just roll with it as her appetite will probably pick back up again without needing to do anything.

I have got a faster teat - she is on level 3 suitable for 6 months plus. That is the first thing I did but doesn't seem to have made a difference. She is on 5 feeds a day and has anywhere between 70mls and 180mls per feed. She is totalling about 620mls a day but today is likely to be even less than that. It does seem to be decreasing daily. For her weight she should be on around 800-900 mls at least. She is pooing and peeing as normal, maybe pooing a little less but at least twice a day. As she is already a tiny baby I am concerned. She did gain weight at last weigh in last week, but her decreased in take started just before the weigh in. I am planning to take her to be weighed again next week, but wondering if there was anything else I could do.
