15 month old waking in night and won't settle without a feed

Getting slightly desperate here! My 15 month old DS has been waking every single night and won't settle without a feed.

Am trying to wean him from his morning feed (breastfeeding but am happy to breastfeed him at bedtime, just want to cut out the morning one if poss) as am still waiting for periods to come back and want to give my body a bit of a break before trying to conceive again.

He usually wakes any time from between 3:30 to 4:45 and just won't go back to sleep without a feed. And I haven't had a full night's sleep in about a month, since his MMR - is that related?

How do I sort this one out? Have tried just not feeding him and he screams blue murder until I do - not fun at 4 in the morning.

I don't know but if it's any consolation (which it won't be!) my 16 month old DD wakes for a bottle between 3 and 5ish every morning and won't settle back down without it. So although not bf I understand your pain and I will lurk for solutions

Thanks eyeballs! Is good to know I'm not the only one at least! (matchsticks propping up eyelids emoticon needed I think)

My 16 mo is the same... We co sleep so its not too much of a problem as we've perfected the art of sleep feeding!!! Although to be honest it does get on my nerves sometimes...

I tried control crying with my DS when he was 6 months and within 3 days he was sleeping through the night! breastfeeding was the onlyway I could settle him back down when he woke in the night. It was hard going but definatly worth it!
