Away from my 6 mth old for 24hrs, will supply suffer?

Hi, I need to be away from my 6-1/2 month old baby for 24 hours and wonder if I pump regularly (pumping is a disaster, I never get more than 1oz) my supply will suffer?

She was exclusively breastfed until 5 days ago and because I've moved from Singapore to London 5 days ago I've not really found the time to express enough, so she'll have to have formula for this 24 hour period -- I'm fine with that since she's started BLW

You'll be fine. If you don't get on with pumping (it is very pump dependant - I expressed 5 days a week for a year with my Lactaline, couldn't get a drop with an Avent), then try hand expressing. You can do it straight down the loo, or into a wide necked bottle, and just express a bit whenever you have a moment

if you are not going to store the milk I suggest hand expressing morning and evening in a warm bath.
Be prepared for a little 24/48h feeding frenzy when you get back.

Many many thanks folks. I do have an Avent pump and can pump off some of that. I more mean I fail to produce that much for EBM feeds when I'm with her, because I feed her so frequently still (every 2-3 hours).

So I can pump to relieve engorgement (and faintly mimic a missed feed) but I take far too many times to express enough to feed her, if that makes sense?

Am tempted to buy a Medela Swing but to be honest, if she takes the formula then I may just leave it. I'm off work until she's more than a year old and this is a one off and any evenings off will be few and far between.
