Has anyone here ever donated their milk to a human milk bank?

I am doing some research into donating breastmilk. It sounds like a really amazing thing to do for a baby you have never met and is something I think I will do in the future. I would really like to chat to anyone who has done this and find out what their experience of it was.

I would have gladly done it if I was asked as I enjoyed expressing milk!

This is a duplicate thread - I think the first was deleted because Kim is a journo and presumably had not paid the fee.....

Kim, tell us a bit more about yourself!

If you're not a journo then I'd love to share my experience with you

Ditto CarGirl

I donated milk to Queen Charolottes and I would be happy to chat to you. I don't mind if you are journalist, but I would would like to know the reasons for your research.

Like CarGirl I had to offer. The only reason I offered my breastmilk was that my GP suggested it. I had no idea that milk banks existed until my GP told me. It seems sad that there aren't more milk banks.
