Just wondering. Someone told me of a friend who used Motilium to increase her milk supply. See link for info.

I have a few online friends that have had Domperidone (same thing by the look of it) prescribed and found it very helpful.
They had dire problems with their milk supply but still had to really battle with their GPs to get it.

I used it when I was having problems with my supply, got it from the chemist over the counter. I still have some here lol

Strange that it isn't more widely known. So many women have problems as their supply doesn't meet the demand of the baby. Are there any side effects?

You can get domperidone/motilium online at www.inhousepharmacy.com. Arrives in about 10 days/2 weeks. It was a lifesaver for me, but yes I had the weight issue -only person I know who didn't lose any weight while breastfeeding. Depends what you want to optimise for!

A friend who is a consultant paed at GOSH said it was perfectly safe for the baby, they prescribe it to babies for reflux etc.

Is that Motilium as in the tablets you can get for an upset tummy? When you say increase milk supply, can it increase from zero? I feed with one boob, absolutely nothing in the other, could this bring it to life or is it a lost cause?

I used it. There is a very helpful info sheet on the Dr Jack Newman website.
