Oh no, I've given my 7 month old a bottle of "Growing Up Milk" instead of "Follow On Milk"

Have just realised that I must have picked up Hipp Organic Growing Up Milk rather than Follow Up Milk in Waitrose yesterday, my DS has just had a bottle of it, will it be ok? My DS is mostly still breast fed, but has one formula feed a day, am worried there's something in the Growing Up Milk that he should have had ???

I may be wrong but I think the difference is the amount of vitamins etc, a one year old needing less due to more food than a 6+ mo.

I don't think one feed will do any harm though. Have you got an old packet that you can compare?

If no-one else comes along with a definitive answer you could always try calling them or emailing. I had to email once and got a very helpful reply.

as a one off and at 7 months I don't think it will matter
Your DS can eat anything you can (with a few exceptions). Not ideal as a regular milk feed but this was only once

There won't be a problem with it as a once only. I would say though that there is no need to give follow on milk at all. It is a marketing ploy for formula milk companies to be able to advertise. Apparently it is good for making icecream

All babies need is breastmilk or existing formula.
