Breastfeeding and antihistamines or other hayfever remedies

I've had a look at the Breastfeeding Network leaflet here but am still not sure what the effects of the antihistamines that do get through to DS will be. What are the risks?

I'm uncomfy with rhinitis and itchy face, but it's not that bad, so should I suck it up? Or get some medicine?

I asked about piriton which I took while pregnant but it can make a bf baby drowsy (not good). Someone suggested the non-drowsy ones like Clarityn or Zirtek which don't affect the baby apparently but I have yet to get down to the chemist to ask and buy some (I brazened it out when I had an attack of urticaria). Is it really terrible? Other options are nasal sprays which act locally if your nose is suffering a bit although this won't help the itchy face bit. Poor you. I know what an annoyance it is.

It's not really that bad you see, I'm trying to weigh up whether it's worth it.

I also have hayfever and i am bfing. The doctor prescribed a nasonex inhaler, it seems to be doing the job. I was advised not to use anti-histamines but not sure whether it was becos I'm breastfeeding or for other reasons.
