Too much dried fruit played havoc with my ds when breastfeeding....I thought I was being healthy

keep you diet as normal as possible. avoiding stuff is a ploy of formula manufacturers to make us think that breastfeeding requires special sets of behaviour (read time consuming and awkward) from us.

only if your baby is showing true signs of allergy to stuff in your diet then contemplate avoiding foods. (my dd for example is allergic to egg and egg in my diet caused eczema in her. pity we only found out when she was over 2 and has always avoided egg and egg containing foods)

ahh guessing this is linked to his being unsettled in the evenings???

for most people there is really nothing you need to avoid. but some people do find that certain things upset their babies.
unfortunately there are a huge number of different things that people have found to do this, so you could never cut them all out!

I suspect your LO is just cluster feeding and being a normal mummy-centred hungry newborn. but if you're worried then try keeping a food diary for a couple of weeks and see if anything comes up?
