dd is 8 weeks today, been thinking about doing (healthy ww-type) diet to lose weight... dd is off the top of the centile chart weight-wise, so no worries at present but is it a good idea to restrict calories?
thanks dinny

Congratulations Dinny!
Missed the birth announcement.
Won't do you any harm as long as you are sensible and don't crash diet. The sooner you deal with excess pounds the better, I find.

WW and slimming world both have adjusted plans for BF mums, I did the SW one, you have alot of extra portions of healthy foods, which you reduce during weaning until you are on their usual plan. Good luck!

congrats Dinny!! Hope it all went well for you

Dieting will have no effect on your milk, as long as you're not starving yourself. Pay attention to fluid intake though.

I am doing the slimming world bf plan and have lost nearly 2 stone and another to lose. I have never felt hungry and my 4.5 month old is a fully bf healthy little girl.Good luck! x

I'm following Rosemary Conley at the mo and my instructor has advised me on how to fill up on extra calories to fit in with the diet while still losing weight. I've got 2 stone to go so I'm taking it slowly and I'm never hungry. The plan also recommends exercise - great to get you out and about with the buggy!! Good luck with it x
