DS is over 7 months and I haven't started weaning yet- is it OK?

He's doing so well at nursing and sleeping through the night too.
So far he hasn't shown any real interest in food (although I think he's just starting to) so I haven't pushed the issue and am still exclusively BFing- should I be worried?

You've done incredibly well with the breastfeeding. Don't be worried, but do start him on solids now. If he just plays with the food and has a little taste/suck/dribble then thats fine to start with, but you do want to get him used to lots of different flavours (introduced one at a time) and textures. My (breastfed) babies weren't keen on being fed from a spoon, but loved finger food and getting themselves messy but feeding themselves gunky things.

It sounds like you are following his lead . He will eat when he's ready. Might be worth offering him the opportunity to explore some finger foods, provided he can sit unaided etc, but food is for fun up to one, so it really doesn't matter at all at this stage if he's not bothered.

Just wanted to say my baby is 6 months, but I'm currently moving from SE Asia back to London and have decided that it's not worth bothering starting to wean (I'm going for finger foods and skipping purees) until I'm settled there. So she'll be just under 7 months. My paed said it was fine. And my baby is TEENY.

That said, went for dim sum today and she is really ready to eat. It's only been the last few days she's shown proper signs.

I'm finding exclusive breastfeeding these last few weeks quite gruelling. And she won't take a bottle. And my pump has broken...
