Is it illegal to sell discounted "hungry baby" formula?

I was in Mothercare the other day and I noticed a couple of ready-made cartons of hungry baby formula at the till. They had orange reduced stickers on them.
I thought it was illegal to discount formula for babies under 6 months? I was going to say something (yes, I'm a busybody ) but thought I better check my facts first...

IIRC, it's illegal to adverise it, not to sell it.

It's the enticement that's illegal; hence, if it's on sale, 2 for 1, BOGOF, etc.

So, yes, Mothercare are acting illegally.

Thought so. Might say something next time then. I think I've seen it before in that particular store too.
