This is the 10th day of weaning, should my boobs be back to normal by now?

DD2 is 13 mths, and was exbf until 3 wks ago, when we cut down and stopped, however my boobs are still full and becoming rather tender to the point where it now hurts to carry/hold/sling her. How long does it take? I sure when the other 2 weaned everything settled down really quickly, but my memory is a bit fuzzy

Did you cut down gradually, one feed at a time? It can take a while.
Is there a reason you stopped or how would you feel about continuing for a while on fewer feeds?
From personal experience I can't remember the feeling you describe but dd self weaned so cut down was very gradual.

yes, the cut down was gradual, daytime was stopped beefore her birthday, then night-time was cut down to bedtime, 1am and 6am, the just 1am and 6am, then nothing.

I don't really want to begin again, as it was such a nightmare to get her to accept a beaker, I'd just confuse the wee mite.

They started to settle, then this began over the last few days, and now it's a constant niggle, like toothache

Try cold savoy cabbage leaves to soothe your breasts or warm compresses. A couple of paracetamol and hope for a decent night's rest.
