Anyone know where to buy NUK teats?

I have been breastfeeding for three months but need to get my dd to take a bottle occasionally. I have tried Avent teats but she just gags and screams. I have heard that Nuk teats are the nearest to the breast but can't find anywhere that stocks them? Has anyone used them, do you know where I can get them from. Also, do they have the measurements on the side of bottle as Avent bottles do?
Thank you!

I appreciate this is really unhelpful but they are probably the most common ones I've seen here in Austria! Perhaps you can find them online?

I ordered mine online as DS likes these too - unfortunately baby brain has kicked in and I can't remember where. I think I just googled and found a UK pharmacetical site.

I do have some small teats and a 5 oz bottle kicking about here if you would like me to post them for a trial run? Our large Boots do the bottles as well, I have managed to get 10ozs ones from there.

Cat me if you are interested - it is a pain trying to find the right bottle but DS took to these really well.

I have seen them online, but there seem to be so many different types it is difficult to tell which ones to buy without actually looking at them.
Thanks though!

I forgot to mention that DS bf for 6 months exc. and I was starting to panic until I found these.

Looneytunes · 21/04/2005 21:23

Thanks Libb. As you have used them, do you know if they were silicone or latex teast (as I have seen both online), and also are the bottles marked with measurements? The bottles I have seen online are different colours with little pictures on, is this similar to what you used? Daft questions I know but I am not too hot on ordering things online!

I know, I am getting worried that she will never take a bottle.

Looneytunes · 21/04/2005 21:26

Shall try Superdrug - thanks.

Asda do them.

And you don't need the bottles if you have Avent ones - the Nuk teats fit in the Avent bottles (but annoyingly the Avent teats don't fit in the Nuk bottles).

If you do get the NUK bottles, yes they have measurements on.

Libb · 21/04/2005 21:27

I have used the clear ones (assuming those are the silicone ones?) and the bottles come in various colours with measurements on the side.

I am more than happy to send you one to try out if you wish, I know how expensive this experimenting can be!

As Popsycal said, Superdrug also do them - but the range is limited sometimes - or this just be because I live in a tinpot town!

Libb · 21/04/2005 21:28

really Fruitful? I had no idea - I have loads of Avent bottles. Oh pants . . . .

popsycal · 21/04/2005 21:29

alo little independent chemists sometimes do too

Looneytunes · 21/04/2005 21:33

Thank you for offering to send one, I will have a look in Superdrug and Asda and see what I come up with. Thanks for your help.
Good to know they fit in Avent bottles

Thats the NUK "First Choice" ones - wide-neck ones - that fit in Avent bottles. NUK do narrow-neck ones too.

JoHo · 22/04/2005 19:00

I get the NUK teats/bottles from Superdrug. But there is a website baby-supplies.co.uk that supplies all NUK stuff and they are the same price as the shops. These are the only teats (the orthdontic latex ones) my baby would take after BF for 4 months and panicking that she would starve when I went back to work.

poppy101 · 22/04/2005 19:16

I seen them in Boots.

poppy101 · 22/04/2005 19:16

You could try MAM slow flow ones, I use these and still do, only because I had a free sample and found my baby liked to use it.

I often use websites like this: Amazon . Love their quick order process...
