Can you still breastfeed with an upset stomach?

Have a bit of a dodgy stomach - can I still breastfeed or will I pass it on to baby.

It's not severe, no sickness, just can't be too far away from a loo!

you should, and baby, be fine. I have breastfed both DSs with winter vomiting bug and they have been ok. Just scrupulous cleanliness ie. hands when you touch them.

You and the baby will fine to continue breastfeeding, but just be a bit more vigilant washing your hands.

I fed through an horrendous dose of the runs recently. The baby got a much milder dose but I wonder if she would have got it anyway, as she spends so much time with me.

Just have DH (or someone) on hand to grab baby if you need to rush off to be sick
(joyous memories of my stomach bug, having to abandon a furious DS and run to the bathroom)

Hope you feel better soon!

And I washed my hands all the time, honest

I did too ~ ditto abroadandmis. I did get really dehydrated though as I couldn't keep anything down and I lost quite a lot of my supply, but it did come back with perseverance. Dd was not affected and didn't get any D&V. She was 10 months.
