Upset tummy - would eliminating anything from my diet help?

DS is onto day 6 of an upset tummy. The frequency he poos has decreased but it's very dark in colour and like water. He's well in himself, but I am concerned it isn't shifting. I've stopped giving him formula top-ups as advised by the Dr but I wondered whether I should be avoiding anything in my diet too? If the cow's milk protein in the formula is making it hard to shift the bug, then should I be having dairy still? Sorry if this sounds silly - I'm not sure how much of what I eat can cross over and affect DS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

abbymeg, is this not the same question you asked yesterday? Not sure what else can be added - why not ask the doctors about what would be safe, and whether they think cows milk protein is an issue? If it's lactose that's the issue, then nothing you do can have an effect as lactose is in the breastmilk anyway.
