DS born Fri (and typing one-handed so sorry for errors).

Feeding is going so-so. He had a big wee and poo yesterday at about 6pm but nothing since. EBF atm although this is puttin g the fear of god into me. Has slept ALL afternoon so seems contented enough, just worried about dry nappy and can't remember from DD.

Any advice? Thanks!

Put a tissue in his nappy. If he hasn't had a pee within the next four hours you need to contact the maternity ward. Don't panic though! He probably is weeing but not a lot.

What's the update, Rosieeo?

Morning and thank you.

I put a tissue in his nappy but couldn't get him to take a feed (it had been about 8 hours by this point ) so I rang the maternity ward who told me to strip him down to wake him up and to do skin to skin until he took a decent feed. Thankfully he did rouse and had a good hour. When I rang the ward back (they asked me to) they said not to worry about output as long as he had been since he was born, but to keep an eye on his feeding.

He fed about four times in the night, although only for a short time and this morning he did a nice big wee.

The midwife last night thought ds was a pfb and I had to explain that he isn't but dd was an insatiable eating machine who would no more have slept through a feed at 3 days old than she would have danced the hokey cokey

So thanks again. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions; I seem to have forgotten pretty much everything about bfing over the past three years.
