DS (7 weeks) slept through his normal 3AM feed last night so for first time in 7 weeks I had over 6 hours of continuous uninterrupted sleep...in theory.

Except I DIDN'T.

I woke every 10 mins from 3AM thinking "cripes my boobs are hurting" and wondering if he was OK. By 5AM I was willing him to wake and put me out of my misery.

Sure it was just a random one off. I just wanted to vent to people who'd understand, DH didn't get why I was still moaning this morning after not being woken!

lol, you can't win with these darn babies can you?

I remember the first time this happened with DS and DH and I were both awake for most of the night waiting for him to wake up and wondering if he was ok. But believe me, he does it twice in a row and you will easily adapt...

I just hope I get the chance to adapt!

Argh I've so been there - you have my sympathy. I'm up and down like a bloody yoyo all night - checking him, hand expressing into the sink to relieve the pain, getting a towel to sleep on so that I don't wake up in a puddle.
The next morning:

DH: 'Ooh I had a lovely sleep, isn't it great?'
Me: Grunt

Daffodilly · 15/03/2009 17:59

Still I shouldn't complain too much - he might hear and never do it again!
