Can I give my 5mo milk from a cup?

DD - who is breastfed - used to take the occasional bottle of EBM, but at around 3/4 months decided bottles were no longer her thing. I've tried slow teats, fast teats, distraction, weekly attempts, me feeding her, DH feeding, gran feeding her etc but nothing works... So, have any of you had success with a cup (eg Tommee Tippee) instead? Is 5 months too early for a cup? Would a cup interfere with BF? Thanks for any advice.

Do you mean a spouted cup or an open one? You could try an open cup like a Doidy, to see if she'll sip, and AFAIK that is unlikely to interfere with bfing, which sounds pretty well established and is going well I'm assuming? Also it sounds like she'll still get the majority of her feeds direct from source, as it were?

I'd try her from an open cup. Will take practise but whe should sip. No experience but that is what a speech therapist advised me to do with future children [dd1 needed a bit of help and lisps like voldemort]
