Question about sticky eye & breastmilk whilst taking fluconazale for thrush?

Hi there

My baby and I have a sticky eye (i am taking anti-biotic drops for it as mine is red).

i have deep breast thrush for which i am taking fluconazale (have been taking it for a week now)

I have heard that breast milk in the baby's eye is good for a sticky eye...but what if you have thrush? would my baby get thrush in his eye if i were to do that?

thanks very much

Bumping this for you.

If I was you I would probably see if I could find a local mum who is currently lactating who might be able to give me a few oz for baby's eye. Not from a freezer stash, as I doubt that would help with sticky eye as the living cells would have been destroyed, but freshly pumped. I don't have a definitive answer based on any knowledge but I would probably play it safe if I was still in the early days of fighting the thrush and still experiencing symptoms.
If you google thrush in the eye it seems as though it IS considered rare though:

Hi Munteria - did you ever find out any more about this? I have exactly the same problem and would be grateful for any advice...
