Do I need to offer my breastfed 6mth old water now that I am introducing BLW?

That's it really. I know you need to offer formula fed babies water but is it the same for BF when you introduce solids or is breastmilk enough?

I was told that you need to offer them water even before solids. I am not entirely sure why but it can't do any harm for your child to get used to drinking from a bottle/cup.
