Although its great that he is now sleeping for up to 8 hours I am waking up through the night either with huge boobs or in a milky puddle!
Any tips?

It should settle down soon as your boobs get used to it - how long has it been like this?

You could try expressing a little just before you go to bed if that is a few hours after his last feed. That might take the edge off it.

I used to have to get up and put warm flannels on them to ease the discomfort and let out some milk.

Just hang in there. Your supply will adjust to fact he's sleeping longer and it'll all settle down in a few days.

Hooray for longer sleeps though. A little leaking is aprice well worth paying

PS - I take it you're using breast pads? Just leaking through them?

he's only been sleeping this long for a week now. (fingers crossed it lasts) Boobs are usually wrapped in muslin square at night partly to mop up night sweats and also for milk. I can't stand wearing a bra in bed. fortunately the leaking hasn't happened more than twice. they really go off when I'm feeding him though!!! Its like a water pistol!!
