Still bfing during the day but returning to work fairly soon - what should I do?

My 10 month old dd is bfing 4 times a day. She isn't really showing any signs of dropping any of these feeds at the moment.

She will be 12 mo when I go back to work so my preferred situation by then would be that she has a bf first thing and bed time, but cows milk during the day. She eats plenty of solid food. I've never got on well with expressing. She has never had any formula either.

Do people have any tips on how to make the transition?

Is it OK to start giving her a small taste of cows milk to get her used to it?

don't worry, just carry on feeding when you are there. it is very nice bonding time when you get home from work

she won't really need any extra milk or formula but will probably be happy to take a cup when you aren't around.

Thanks fishie - I shall just try to relax about it then. I'm still a bit pfb about the whole thing!

I agree with fishie.
I have found with my lot that they would feed as usual the days I was home but just go without / drink milk from a cup when I was at work.

Thanks that's reassuring.

Also agree with what has been said already. My DD nursed as normal when we were together but was quite happy just have water or milk from a cup while at nursery.
