When did you stop sterlising bottles and switch to cow's milk???

When did u "make the change"???

I think I stopped sterilising at about 6 months and changed to cows milk at 1 year. I still haven't managed to give up BF at night though and DD is 18 months.

i have heard 1 yr for both but then the adverts on telly say that or your child to get enoughiron they would need to drink 20 litres of cows milk a day so i feel like i should stop on th follow on or next steps milk. do u think it is just a scam to get to to stay on formula milk for longer??

We're still sterilising at months (didn't realise I could stop earlier....aaah, that's interesting ). Cow's milk- as a drink- definitely at 1 year. But as an addition to food (e.g. porridge) you can give cow's milk from 6 months onwards.

Advice is to sterilise for 12 months I thought, just lots of people stop at 6 months because that's around the crawling time so they'd be getting everything in their mouths.
I did it until 1 year and switched to cows milk then to.
Cows milk works out cheaper than staying on formula and the follow on milk says it's supposed to help with the iron bank as that runs out in babies at 6 months.

Both at 12 months. Still using bottles because the little madam won't entertain cups for milk but sterlising is a thing of the past, thank goodness.

I stopped sterilising when dd could get around and pick all sorts of stuff up and suck them Think it was about 7 months. Switched to cows milk at 13 months when stopped BF.
