Not sure about ibuprofen but paracetamol should be fine. I had cs and took full dose of paracetamol daily for about 2-3 weeks (also morphine and codeine at the beginning, and numerous blood pressure meds) whilst bf prem baby. All OK'ed by hospital. Am sure many women have done the same. Would check about the ibuprofen though as young babies are not meant to take it and I'm not sure if it would go through to the milk? Hope the toothache is not too awful, what a long time to wait!

choccynutter, you are talking from a position on knowing nothing at all. She will not 'drug' her baby, FGS. By the way, if you stick around mumsnet, you'll see textspeak is not really welcomed, sorry

Motherlove, you can check the factsheets on drugs at www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk and you will be reassured about both paracetamol and ibuprofen.

I was given ibuprofen at hospital and for the first few days after birth alternately with paracetamol and was told it's ok for breastfeeding. It can be quite hard on your gut though, so make sure to take with food and try not to be on it for too long.

There should be an emergency dentist you can go to for emergency work.
