A Big Thumbs Up for St James's Hospital Leeds

I've just spent nearly three days in Jimmy's in Leeds with a blocked gallbladder and the staff were fantastic when I explained that I was still BFing and would like to keep DS with me.

They found me a side room on the admissions ward and then hunted down a cot so that I could have DS, 15 weeks, in with me. When I was moved to a surgical ward, likewise a side room was found and DS was allowed to stay with me the whole time.

I had been terrified of going to A&E in the first place as I knew I didn't have any expressed milk at home, and although we had bought some formula in preparation of me needing to go to A&E (after two days of acute pain I knew I needed to go in), I really didn't want to use it. Thanks to the staff in A&E, CDU and the surgical ward, I didn't need to

So a big big thanks to Jimmy's for a positive BFing experience.

And a note to anyone in a similar position in future...just ask
