A question on co-sleeping/Bfeeding a newborn safely

Hello, any BF experts around today? Tik Tok perhaps?

Two weeks to go until baby no.2's arrival and I would really like to nail the lie-down sleeping this time, so I can have more energy during the day having a toddler to deal with too.

My question is about using a support pillow to keep baby in position to reach the breast, and put my mind at rest about not rolling on to her in my sleep.
Has anyone used something like this or can recommend something better please? I don't plan to use it all night as I'll have a drop-side cot next to the bed.

I know the wedge bit isn't much protection for the baby but I don't wan't too much of a barrier between us either?

TIA

Hi, just to let you know that despite having a co-sleeper cot on the side of our bed DS2 (now 6months) won't sleep in it. Or at least hasn't yet! I haven't used a cushion, I just sort of sleep with my arm around DS and it's worked fine. Never been in any danger of rolling on him as you really do get some sort of intuition about where they are. HTH!

thanks for that BB.
Thing is I can be an anxious sleeper at the best of times so it's part safety and part putting my mind at rest enough to sleep properly!

Have you seen this? (unicef leaflet on making co-sleeping safer):

I recommend reading "3 in a Bed" by Deborah Jackson, it's really good and cleared up a lot of my questions.

Thanks both of you for the link/recomendation.
